“Jason, why do you run a tea room?”
“J, I co-run it. It’s not just me running it by myself.”
“Sure, but why do you run a tea room? I think it’s beautiful and it matches your energy. I’ve always wanted to ask.”
“I think I want to talk to people?”
“But isn’t a tea room where you drink tea.”
“Yeah, you’re not wrong, but you also talk?”
“So like deep, serious talks?”
“No, not necessarily. It doesn't have to be serious.”
“So you just wanted to talk to people all of sudden?”
“I want to serve good tea, good food, and good conversation. I tried really hard to live my life honestly, working hard and challenging myself. I think I want to be of service to people, and I can do that while I talk to them.
J, at one point in my life, I think I let go of myself. I feel freer and freer. I don’t care about many things anymore. I just want to meet people, talk, share some tea, and call it a day.”
“You’ve changed, Jason. You used to be different.”
“We all change, J. I just stopped caring and let go of almost everything.”
