The Warmth

You see, I don’t know. I can’t know for sure, and I am a very private person and I respect others’ privacy as well. But I feel something sometimes and although I’m not too sure about it I still try to help. Carefully.

“Think of something nice. Something that makes you comfortable. I have similar symptoms too. You’ll be fine.” We talked a bit and I could sense he felt more comfortable about the situation.

After a while, when I was leaving the place, I saw him resting on the bed. I asked for permission to talk to him and I approached him carefully.

“Hey, I’m leaving now, I’m so glad it went well for you as well. Take care and always stay healthy.”

“Don’t leave yet, where do you live? Can I give you my number? Can you please give me a call when you are coming to the city where I live? I run a restaurant and I’d love you to come visit sometimes.”

You see, I don’t know. I can’t know all of the things for sure. But when I sense someone is anxious and feeling cold emotionally, I try to stop and say something warm to the person and I think I’m pretty good at giving the right amount of warmth to the people. Not too much, not too little, just enough for the person to feel a little better.

I don’t know. I can’t be so sure about everything, but when I sense something, I try to help. Because I know how cold it could get. That, I’m so sure of. The cold temperature, the frozen surroundings.

That’s what I’m trying to do here at the tea room. Sharing the warmth with people.

I think that’s what I am really trying to do with my life.

Finding the warmth and sharing it with the right people.
