Goal. Calling. Journey.

"I want to meet good people. Period. No reason for it and no context for it. I need good people. It’s not a preference, it’s a need."
"That’s a pretty strong statement, Jason, you know? You always meet good people, including me."
"I know I do. But I want more."
"Is this where all your thinking about the void comes from?"
"I thought it was, but then J, I think it’s the other way around."
"What do you mean?"
"Distance is not a one-directional thing; it’s an inter-relative thing. Distance only exists when there is a counterpart."

"Ok?"
"I want to be there for people. I want to be there so they don’t feel the distance, so that their sphere can get smaller, filled."
"I lost you there."
"Think of the sphere. Spheres are the aggregate of lines in three dimensions. The lines are distance. The longer the distance, the larger the sphere gets, and vice versa. I know the feeling of how heavy and hefty holding that sphere becomes."
"So in a way, you also want to diminish the weight of the sphere?"
"Yes, but I think I am putting myself out there for others first. So in a way, it doesn’t have to be tea. It could be anything. If I could put myself out there selling rocks and meet good people, I’d do that in a heartbeat."
"But Jason, do tea. Do more of it. Spend more time on the pursuit of tea and East Asian philosophy."
"Why?"
"I just know Jason. Do that more, and it will start working even more toward your goal."
"I don’t want to call it a goal. It sounds like '90s corporate."
"The Calling?"
"Early 2000s."
"Whatever, Jason. Don’t be so difficult! you know what I mean."
"I know, J, I know. “This journey.””
"Right. Because ‘The journey' sounds SO genuine."
“Hahaha right?”
