Complicated.

I was looking at the sunset light hitting the tree and recognizing the autumn. That was a long summer, and that was a hot one.
Then I got to think, if the earth’s rotating axis were not tilted, we would not have the seasons. We could still have different types of climate on earth, but every region would have just one season.
Yes, we could still do all the agriculture, so yes, we would still have tea.
But then no season? That’s tough. Thanks to the seasons, we have to adapt to the environment, and that is how we, as human beings, started a civilization.
If my life path was straight, happy sunshine all the way, I would not be running the tea room. I am not saying this job is romantic, it is just as tough and hard as all the other jobs I have had in my life. Probably I might have been working in different jobs.
I understand how complicated life can get, how tiring it can be. Just like the summer we had. I can relate to its tiredness.
So I get to appreciate the pause, having the pause, a quiet moment once in a while in life. I understand not everything is about hustle and pushing through.
I think that’s why I run this place. I can’t think of any other liquid form of food that makes you stop and pause in life.
