Pizza & Snow Chrysanthemums

Most people reach for a beer or a Coke when pizza is on the table. It’s such a reflexive habit that we rarely stop to question it. But on a recent cold afternoon, we decided to brew a pot of Tibetan Snow Chrysanthemum tea instead. It just felt right for the winter air.

This tea doesn't hit you with an aggressive aroma. The typical bitterness of chrysanthemum is dialed back, leaving a brew that clears the palate with a gentle touch. Between the richness of melted cheese, the chew of the dough, and the bright acidity of the tomato sauce, the tea settles in quietly. Rather than cutting through the oil with sharp carbonation, it softens the palate, making each subsequent bite feel light and effortless.

“Tea with pizza?”

The guests were skeptical at first. But after a few sips, the mood shifted. It wasn't heavy or cloying; it worked far better than anyone expected.

We’ve always preferred making choices this way. Instead of leaning on "standard" pairings,weI like to consider the weather, the texture of the meal, and the energy of the people gathered together.

Tea isn’t just a backdrop for a special moment. It sets the rhythm of the meal, keeps the conversation flowing, and allows you to rediscover familiar foods.

Pizza on a winter day, paired with a warm cup of snow chrysanthemum, it was a simple change that made the evening feel deeper, slower, and much warmer.
